Is Delilah The New Greenleaf Spinoff?

During the series finale of Greenleaf there was a short ad talking about a new show called Delilah from the creators of Greenleaf.  People are wondering if Delilah could be the new Greenleaf spinoff that is supposed to be in the works or if Delilah is a show that has nothing to do with Greenleaf.

 

I read an article where the creator of Greenleaf, Craig Wright, stated that the spinoff would focus on Lady Mae’s new role as the pastor of Calvary or a new church.  I also saw an IG live with Lynn Whitfield and she said that Delilah is not the Greenleaf spinoff and is a show about something else. 

 

As far as the Greenleaf spinoff goes I think there are a lot of directions they could go in.  Mae as head pastor could be interesting and I am down with anything that stars Lynn Whitfield.  The spinoff could also focus on Grace’s new life in New York.  Also they could do a prequel of the early years of James, Mae, Mavis, etc.  I’m just glad that it looks like the Greenleaf universe will continue in some form.

 

Right now it is still a mystery as to what Delilah is actually about, but I am sure we will be hearing more news soon.
